Dan and I felt like the luckiest couple in the world yesterday, having the pleasure of several of our friends in the Bay Area come together to celebrate the upcoming arrival of our baby girl. A huge thank you to Megumi and Sam who hosted and organized such a wonderful West Coast baby shower, along with other friends who helped them decorate, cook, and put together what was one of the most beautiful showers I’ve ever attended. ♥
We were so humbled and moved by everyone’s thoughtfulness and generosity, and for the time and effort invested by our friends in putting such a lovely baby shower together for us. We’ll remember it for the rest of our lives, and we can’t wait to show these pictures to our daughter in the future, to show her how much she is loved. 🙂
Yes, they did an awesome job! I couldn’t believe the amount of detail and planning that went into everything – it was all so beautiful! 🙂 We’ll remember it for years and years to come.
It was super good! I definitely stuffed myself, in my determination to try everything. I actually had never had spam musubi until moving out to CA, but they’re really good! I’m actually starting to crave one now that I’m thinking about them again… lol.
They’re awesome! We should make some next time we reunite! heehee* We really felt the love this weekend – so grateful for the people we have in our lives!
I know, I’ve only been to a couple baby showers in my lifetime, but this really knocked our socks off! We couldn’t get over how much detail, planning, and love went into it! ♥ We felt so blessed and loved. 🙂

What a wonderful party! The food looks delicious!
And the quilt is just amazing 🙂
It was so lovely! And the food was indeed delicious!!! 🙂
We were really impressed with the quilt too; it’s too pretty that I’m afraid to use it for fear that the baby might get it dirty!

wow, little miss baby will come out a foodie after this shower for sure! she’ll be like “hey momma, I’ll take a matcha cupcake instead of those organic mushed green peas and I’d really prefer a winnie-the-pooh sugar cookie in lieu of some pureed apple-banana-surprise..”
I love sweets myself but I think I might be an overprotective auntie and will redirect her attention to more natural forms of sugar like luscious strawberries, or velvety mangoes, or crisp, juicy apples, if anything, when that comes, and with her momma and poppa’s permission of course :).
haha* Yes, the baby did get quite spoiled that day with all the good food I sent down to her. heehee* I wonder how much the baby can actually taste of what you are ingesting – I did read that in these last few weeks, she really does get all the flavors of what you are eating. Hope she likes what I’m eating!
I’ve definitely been a fruit junkie during my pregnancy, though (although I have been indulging in the occasional fried chicken…), so I’m sure she’ll love the fruits that Aunie Hyo gives her. I’m all for the healthier snacks and keeping her away from sugary treats at least past the toddler stage… (Although it’ll be hard to keep them at bay when I’m craving those sweets myself!)

In all seriousness though, that baby shower looks AMAZING! Very well done and one for the memory books for sure! You have the bright glow that mommas-to-be seem to have.
All the food was top notch! I stuffed myself in my attempt to try everything. The games were really entertaining and fun, too! We had a great time and it was so nice that we got to celebrate with our friends in the area. 🙂

in all fairness, Megumi is solely to thank. She did everything. I was just there for moral support and manual labor. lol
We missed you Mari! I wish you could’ve been there too, but I know you’re busy over there chasing your dream. Hope your arrival in Japan was smooth and that you are staying safe over there. Can’t wait to hear about your adventures! 😀
