This morning, we slept in and made a makeshift tent out of our bedsheets, roughhoused and pretty much acted like five-year-olds.
It was bittersweet, knowing that our days as just “a couple” are numbered, and when baby comes we probably won’t be able to sleep in nor goof off like kids like this for a while — at least not often.
In some ways, I can’t wait for the baby to come because I long to meet her, and the discomforts of pregnancy are getting to be pretty difficult to bear these days… but at the same time, I want to enjoy the peace & quiet and the order and freedom of our current lives together a little longer.
We’ve been taking other parents’ advice and going on as many little dates as possible before the baby arrives. 🙂 (After about a month in the repair shop, we finally got my Fit back this weekend — no more driving around in Dan’s cramped Integra!)
We can’t travel too far or stay out too late because I get exhausted so easily these days, but I want to treasure and remember these days when we were only two, before we discover the joys of being three.

YES, go on as many dates as you can now-it’ll be a lot harder to find the chance once your baby girl’s out! =)
So excited for you guys!!

haha* That’s what everyone tells me. We’ve been going out here and there, but trying to save money at the same time since this addition to our family is going to be pretty expensive! (><) We're excited too! 🙂

Yes, once the little one comes things will definitely be different. Glad you recognize this time as special in its own way 🙂

So very true… things will be very different… whether we like it or not!
Hope all is well over on the East Coast – stay warm!
