Yesterday, when Dan and I came home from a rainy afternoon of grocery shopping, we pulled into our driveway and found three wild turkeys nonchalantly hanging around like they owned the place. I’d heard of turkey spottings in Berkeley before, but this was my first time seeing turkey that was not being served up on a Thanksgiving platter. It was really random and at the same time bizarre….
Here are some photos that we took as the turkeys hung around with us for a while.

I did a double take when we pulled into the driveway, because I spotted them before Dan… we were both really surprised! haha*

I once saw wild turkeys on the entrance to the highway 13 from Berkeley! I was wondering why traffic was getting slower before entering the freeway, and I think it was because people were slowing down to look at the turkeys!

That’s so funny that they were by the freeway! I heard from my friend that she helped some turkeys cross the street once in Berkeley. I can’t believe they walk around so freely around here.

turkeys are ugly.
Makes me lose my thanksgiving appetite every time i’m reminded of what they look like.
