On Saturday, we drove over to nearby Arlington Park so that Mio could have some fun at the playground there. It was our first time going to this park; it’s definitely one of the nicer ones in El Cerrito — just not in walking distance, so it’s a little more of a hassle to go to. The smiles it brought to Mio’s were priceless!
Okay, I’m sure most of you could do without seeing 29513607 pictures of Mio smiling and laughing while on the swing, but I couldn’t help but post all of them. 😛
Mio made a new friend at the park… we noticed that the little girl looked pretty close in age to Mio, and upon talking to the parents, we found out that they were only two weeks apart! (Mio being two weeks younger.)
It was a Saturday well spent! Mio was so tired from all the fun she had that she took a very long nap that afternoon… I just wish the parks were closer so I could take her to them more often!

I can’t get enough of Mio’s smiles on the swing! Keep those photos a’comin’! =D That’s so sweet that she made a friend. “Mio and Mina” sound like a pair!

Thanks, I’m glad someone appreciates my shamelessly endless pictures of Mio on the swing. The two girls really were so cute together!

She loves the park – I’ve never seen her smile so much as when we’re on the playground! 🙂

so sweet! when i was reading the part about the vertical cookie eating it struck me that since she has always had a very strong oral sensory impulse & with the bite that just happened maybe she needs more stimulation to that part of her mouth? i remember reading about it before. do u give her things to chew on? gummy snack? jerky? maybe that’ll help? i don’t know if that’s part of it, but just wanted to pass that along just in case it helps at all! hope to see u guys at the park soon!

Thank you for pointing that out! I never thought about it like that… someone just pointed out to me today that one of her canines is growing in, so maybe that’s also a factor. I’ll definitely look into getting her something gummy/chewy! Definitely want to make it over to the park sometime this week… I’ll text you! 🙂

I’m glad she smiles a lot more on the swing now. At Nottoway park, she seemed unamused pretty much the entire time!
And you be lookin’ mighty fabulous on that slide! hehe

I loved this park as a kid! Even though it’s changed a lot, it’s still such a nice place. I used to go “fishing” in that super grimy pond there, haha.

I think I remember you telling me about this park! It’s the one near where your family lives, right? I didn’t notice a pond there, but it’s a very nice playground! 🙂 I like the open field next to it, too!
