We’ve been experiencing non-stop rainy days this week, and Mio has been dying to go outside. She’ll pick up her shoes, walk over to the window, and just stare outside with shoes in hand, making it more than obvious how much she longs to go out.
I will only go out in the rain if absolutely necessary, because it’s such a hassle to get all the raingear ready — windbreaker, umbrella, rain boots, raincover for the stroller, etc… and I just would much rather stay warm and comfortable indoors than get cold and damp outside. So while I feel bad for Mio, I have not taken her on any walks in the rain this week. (Call me heartless if you will!) But when Dan saw Mio staring out the window like that, he felt so sorry for her that he decided to take her with him for a quick run to Trader Joe’s last night.

Omigosh. She is SOOOOO excited! I love it! She’s lucky to have a daddy who’s willing to do that though, because I’m in the same camp as you. I’m under the covers drinking tea and writing about how much I love to drink tea when it is cold…haha.

heehee* Yes, after being cooped up indoors for days, she was so excited to go outside, even if it was just in the stroller (unable to walk around). I’m definitely all about staying indoors with a cup of tea or hot cocoa and curling up with a good book or movie. 🙂

I know… it’s hard to not let her go outside when she’s acting like that, but I don’t want her to catch a cold. 🙁

Haha cold and wet is no fun. Mio is so funny in the rain covered stroller. Props to Dan for taking her out!

Agreed! Thank goodness for the rain cover for the stroller, or we’d never survive the 3-month rainy season (our winter) here in California! Mio is definitely lucky to have a Daddy who is willing to brave the rain to take her outside. 🙂

adorbs! love the shots of her staring out the window clutching her shoes. polo used to do that when we hadn’t taken him out in awhile– he’d grab his leash and stare out the window. but now he’s old and lazy.

hahaha* That’s so funny! It seems like babies and puppies/dogs have quite a few similarities! 😛
