So many people!

We feel lucky that we live only blocks away from Solano Avenue, which boasts an abundance of some of the most delectable eats in the East Bay! (Among our favorites: Zachary’s Chicago-Style Pizza Gordo Taqueria, Little Star Pizza, The Sunny Side Café, and House of Curries….) On Sunday, the street held their annual street festival called Solano Stroll, and we decided to walk over and check it out after hearing about it from our friends!

There was no shortage of street food vendors, but some of the restaurants were also offering some great discounted prices on platters, so Dan jumped at the opportunity to get some Indian food!

There were so many interesting handmade items!

Dan took this video of some funnel cakes being made.

After walking around in the crowd for a couple hours, it started getting pretty hot so Dan and I got some ice cream cones to cool down.

Mio looks so sad that she can't have any. (I know... we're mean parents.)

Poor Mio. Maybe next year?

She seems okay with that. 🙂

It was a fun couple of hours walking around and enjoying the good food and getting to see all the cool art! The Bay Area definitely has such talented artists — they inspire us to be more creative ourselves! It was too bad we couldn’t go on any of the rides, but maybe we’ll get our chance in a few years when Mio’s old enough to go on them. 🙂
