For our three year wedding anniversary, Dan and I decided to forego getting gifts for each other in favor of buying ourselves a joint gift of a DSLR so that we could capture some quality photos of Mio as she grows older. After some research, we decided that the best camera for us was the Canon Rebel T3i. We purchased the Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4 lens to go with it because we wanted an affordable walkaround lens that could be used in a variety of situations so we wouldn’t have to buy a bunch of different lenses (mostly because I am too lazy to constantly switch them out).
Here are some photos of Mio we took with our new T3i! 🙂
We can’t wait to capture all of Mio’s precious moments with this camera as she grows older. I’m still learning how to use it, but I’m having a lot of fun with it already!

Nice camera. I think it’s great you have that as a tool to capture all those memories.

Yes – seeing how fast Mio is growing up, we really wanted to capture nice photos every step of the way… 🙂
I saw the photobook you made for your dad for Father’s Day. The photographs were gorgeous! 😀
