I used my new Kitchenaid for the first time last night to make some cranberry orange scones! It was my first time making scones from scratch, but the stand mixer made it super easy — once all the ingredients were in, the dough was mixed and ready to be kneaded within seconds! The scones contain dried cranberries and grated orange zest for a delicious fruity flavor. Drizzling them with orange glaze once they’re out of the oven adds to the sweetness. 😉
They were quick, easy, and made for a light breakfast treat! You can find the recipe here.

They came out really good! I tried another recipe for scones (for orange vanilla scones) this week, and they didn’t come out quite as good. But this one is great! 🙂
