Photos from our 4th of July weekend! We started it out by trying Duck Donuts for the first time (since they recently opened their Fairfax location), had a BBQ with my parents’ family friends, and ended with fireworks on Sunday night!
The girls dressed up for 4th of July!
Hubs and Mirei at Duck Donuts
Duck Donuts were delicious! My favorite were the maple bacon ones!
When we grill, we do it right… chicken satay, kalbi, and shrimp & vegetable skewers (…in addition to the typical burgers + hot dogs)
Kids making s’mores as Dan mans the grill
Mio loves her watermelon!
Mio right in there with the big kids, roasting s’mores
We went to a BBQ picnic with family friends at Frying Pan Park on Sunday, June 28th. The girls enjoyed all the food, hanging out with the other kids and pets, and we walked over to the petting farm afterwards to check out the farm animals!
Mirei’s facial expressions are so funny…

Piglets with their mommy
Mirei was staring, not sure what to think that piglets drink milk the same way she does!
Mirei tuckered out and napping on Daddy’s shoulder after the petting farm.
Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads out there, especially to our own amazing “Dadoo”! We girls can certainly be a handful, but we’re so thankful that he’s always there for us with nothing but love and support. We love you!
Mio giving Dan the card she made him in daycare
It’s a shirt-shaped card with a necktie on it, so she put it against him like a real necktie!
Saturday, June 20th was Dan’s company’s annual family picnic, and there were lots of rides and activities for kids and we had a great time again this year!

Mio got her face painted Frozen-style!
