Baby Fashion
Mirei loves to get into other people’s accessories (Mio’s, mine, and even my sister’s) and she now knows how to put headbands and hats on herself. It’s so funny to see how she accessorizes her outfits!
Sunnies Side Up!
You can add “fashion model” to Mio’s growing list of talents and aspirations… lately, she loves dressing up (and is super picky about her clothes, much to my chagrin) and loves raiding my jewelry and accessories, as well as my sister Miwa’s… here she is sporting Auntie Miwa’s sunglasses and posing like a pro. Someone give this girl a fashion blog!
As frustrating as it is at times to have to clean up after Mio raiding our stuff, and having her occasionally break a necklace here, a hair accessory there… we can’t stay mad at this face for too long!
Playdate with Izumi-chan
Mio had a playdate with her friend Izumi on Thursday! Little baby Izumi was born on Christmas Eve to our friends Megumi and John (whom we threw a baby shower for back in November). We’d been over to see Izumi a couple times since her birth, but this was the first time baby Izumi came to visit us at our place!
Mio and Izumi are almost nine months apart, and the difference feels huge at this baby stage, but they’ll level out in age in no time! They’re both 2011 babies, and I’m sure that in a few years, they would become sweet friends. 🙂
One of the biggest perks of having a little girl is how much fun it is to dress them up! I know Mio will not let me be her stylist forever, but until she starts wanting to define her own fashion statements, I’m going to take full advantage of the opportunity for as long as I can! 😛
Rock Those Jeggings!
It’s no secret that I love jeggings, but I had no idea that they make them for babies, too! My dear friend Yoon (and former college roomie at the infamous 501-A!) sent Mio some adorable clothes this week — as usual, she has impeccable taste! 🙂 Check out this little fashionista!
Excuse both mother and daughter’s thunder thighs, but we’d like to introduce you to our very own edition of Who Wore It Better?, in which we are both wearing white tops and jeggings. Do I even stand a chance? I think not….
And to top the outfit off, Yoon also sent this lovely ribbon hat. I can’t make up my mind on whether it’s more a sailor cap or a beret, but one thing is for sure — it’s totally adorable!
Thank you so much, Yoon, for your thoughtful and generous gift of all the clothes! We can’t get over how cute they are. We hope that you can meet Mio someday soon… 🙂
