Yesterday, I took Mio to Annandale to meet my friend Erri and her two adorable children, Audrey and Brennan. Audrey is almost four, and Brennan is almost eight months old — about five months older than Mio! It was their first playdate together and Mio had a great time, as you can see from her smiles here…
Later in the evening, we went to Sushi Yoshi in Vienna to have dinner with my girlfriends from high school. It was so much fun catching up with everyone and introducing them to Mio. Thank you Debbie for organizing the dinner!
We’re thrilled to announce that Mio’s newborn photo session with Dreambox Photography was featured on On to Baby, a premier style blog for all things baby! 🙂 The blog was created by The Wedding Chicks and I’ve been following it religiously ever since its launch earlier this year in February — it is the one stop site for all kinds of lovely things for both mother and baby. We are delighted and honored to be featured today on their blog — click over to see the post here!
Our good friends Pat and Theo also had a baby girl in April, and we’ve been wanting to meet little Anna for a while now! Mio and I went to visit their beautiful family this past Sunday. It was Mio and Anna’s first playdate together, although they don’t really “play” so much as sleep, drink, and cry at this age. Still, it was really nice to see Pat and Theo again and share baby stories, and of course meet sweet baby Anna! I can’t wait for Mio and Anna to become friends in the future… 🙂
The next time we’ll see each other will most likely be during the winter holidays — I can’t wait to see how much they’ve both grown by then! 🙂
Although Mio has been smiling for about a month now, her smiles have been few and far between. But since arriving in Virginia, she’s been smiling a lot for everyone, particularly for her obaachan (grandmother). 🙂
(She’s not smiling in these last couple ones, but I thought they were also cute grandmother-granddaughter moments… :))
