We received a package from my great grandparents in Japan a couple days ago, containing birthday presents for Mio! So grateful that Mio has such loving great grandparents, who are thinking of her all the way from Hiroshima!
Hopefully Mio will get a chance to see her Japanese great grandparents in person someday soon. 🙂
We went down to San Jose with Dan’s parents on Sunday to visit Mio’s Great Grandma! This was their second time seeing each other — the first was when Mio was only three weeks old, so it’s been almost a year. Mio was walking around everywhere in the house and in the backyard, exploring every nook and cranny — Great Grandma was very impressed with how much she has grown. It was lovely seeing Great Grandma, Aunt Monica, and Uncle Greg again!
Thank you Great Grandma for the hospitality and for dinner! We hope to visit again soon. 🙂
Mio got a package from her grandparents in Virginia! An early birthday present with a card from the whole family on Mama’s side!

I was just reflecting on the amazing baby shower that our West Coast friends threw us exactly a year ago on March 12 of 2011, and I realized that I had never shared the beautiful photographs that our friend Tea of Dreambox Photography took at the shower for our memory books.
